WhatsApp in, club chat as source of truth

Clubs will not abandon WhatsApp on a Tuesday. We are not asking them to.

The WhatsApp bridge is read-only: messages from a linked group land in the club root chat. Phone numbers can map to guests; someone can claim that identity later.

That means:

• The existing group keeps working.
• HBV becomes the club of record for rides, RSVPs, and routes.
• Captains are not copy-pasting the same “08:00 at the café” into two places forever.

Unofficial WhatsApp automation has real limits (and risk). In alpha this is opt-in, for clubs that already live in one group and want a quieter system of record beside it.
