Routes and maps belong to the club

A route that only exists as a screenshot in chat is not a route. It is an artifact that dies when the thread scrolls.

HBV treats club routes as first-class:

  • A library the club actually owns.
  • A map preview on the ride, so people know the line before they roll.
  • Planned activities that can attach a route instead of describing it in prose.

The map stack is ours (OSM tiles, club overlays). That is a long project; alpha is the club-facing slice — browse, attach, show up — not a full cartography suite on day one.

If your club already has “the usual loops” in someone’s Garmin, those should live where the RSVPs live.
